I love history and Palm Beach has its own unique story. It not only encompasses the history of Henry Flagler and his east-coast railroad, it has a fashion history all its own! Palm Beach is well-known for being a favorite vacation spot for the Kennedy’s.
The Kennedy’s, especially Jackie, are equated with a distinct style.
That style, grace and class are still evident in the ensembles the local “Palm Beachers” wear today. The current Palm Beach style is a combination of Jackie O’ s signature look meshed with Palm Beach designer favorites such as Ralph Lauren and Lilly Pulitzer.
The “Lilly” look indeed harkens back to the “Camelot” era yet still feels current and fresh. That is the true hallmark of a classic!
Oh, I will forever see my Palm Beach man leaving church with his white pants, bright green shirt and colorful blazer alongside his precisely jewelry drenched wife whose each hair perfectly set in place. Do I sense a chuckle? Don’t even think about it! Did I mention that same man will be getting into his Bentley to head out? Mmm hmm. Don’t get me wrong, this is one of the aspects of fashion that is uniquely Palm Beach. And I do love it!
Another thing I love about Palm Beach, especially during the holidays is “The Breakers”. I think I will head over to see what awesome decorations they have in store this year. I can always count on The Breakers to get me in the holiday spirit. If I didn’t see such decadent holiday lights and decorations, I would swear I was in the wrong hotel. Alas, they never disappoint!
After The Breakers, I will stroll over to Echo to meet my girlfriends for some incredible sushi. Yum!
What a wonderful day! Heading home now. Can it get any better than this? Not with this view!
Have a Festive Holiday!
P.S. Like the Palm Beach style? Check out the outfits I put together. They are titled “Brunch at The Breakers”, “Shopping on Worth Ave.”, and “Sushi at Echo”.
